Below is a brief update on the status of our outdoor projects: roof replacement and courtyard renovation. These, along with several IT-related projects, will be taking place throughout July and may temporarily impact some operations, such as parking availability. Bay Bluffs will provide important updates as new or changing information becomes available.

ROOF REPLACEMENT:

The Bay Bluffs roof replacement project has started, beginning with roof cleaning and water damage repairs on Thursday, July 8. The roof cleaning is projected to be a two-week process. “We are unsure at this time how loud this will be and whether there will be any disruption to activities inside or outside the building as a result of this work,” shares Administrator Lisa Ashley. “We are advocating for as little disruption to our operations as possible for the benefit of our residents and community.” This temporary inconvenience will result in a positive, long-term improvement, including the repair of several leaks prior to installation of the new roofing materials.

COURTYARD RENOVATION:

“We are pleased to share that project planning, design work and contractor coordination have continued to move forward,” Ashley explains. “However, as many in our community experienced firsthand, this spring’s weather conditions were unusually challenging. Following the late winter snow and poor spring weather, the contractor had to delay the start of renovation activities.”

While the delay was disappointing, Bay Bluffs recognizes the importance of completing the project under appropriate conditions to ensure the highest-quality result and protect the long-term durability of the garden improvements. “We will continue to keep the community informed as updates become available.”
